Peter Collings is a proud Queenslander who boasts 25 years in the aviation industry as both a commercial pilot and experienced airline owner. Peter along with his good friend Johnathan Thurston purchased Skytrans in March 2015 after a rescue buy-out. Peter provides the strategic development that has seen Skytrans achieve great success in just over a year.
The greatest NRL player in the world has joined the Skytrans team as a proud co-owner in March 2015. Johnathan is actively involved in the Skytrans business taking on the role of Skytrans Community Ambassador as part of his portfolio.
Michael boasts a 30-year history in aviation and transport logistics. He provides strong and influential leadership to ensure client expectations are met whilst delivering company success and results. He is community driven and is well regarded for his commitment and interpersonal skills.
Wayne brings 15 years experience in senior finance roles, specifically in regional aviation and international airline operations. He has worked throughout Australia and abroad, and is a Member of CPA Australia. Wayne plays an active role in developing and defining the overall strategy for the organisation whilst also providing commercial insights and analysis to support the wider team.
Greg is a results-driven Aviation Operations Management professional with experience working for both international and regional airlines. His proven ability to manage the operations of an aviation operation ensures all activities taking place are managed promptly and within internal and external regulatory guidelines.
Eldon has been passionate about aviation from his earliest years. From 4 years of age he knew he wanted to be a pilot, so when he was 15 and still in High School he started learning to fly. Over the course of the next 6 years he completed his flying training whilst completing high school and working in other jobs outside aviation. From 2000 to 2005 Eldon worked for Air New Zealand at Auckland international Airport in a variety of roles encompassing passenger handling, operations control, training and management. In late 2005 he moved to West Australia to commence his flying career. Since then he has flown a variety of aircraft in scenic, charter and RPT operations and held various Training, Checking and Chief Pilot approvals. Eldon has been with the West Wing Aviation side of the business for just over 7 years.
Ricardo has over 40 years of experience in aviation as airline flight dispatcher and pilot, civil aviation authority senior officer, and Safety and Compliance in domestic and international charter and RPT operations. As Safety and Quality Manager Ricardo implements, promotes and ensures Skytrans operates to the highest level of international safety and quality standards applicable to airline operations.
Jon provides 22 years experience in the aviation industry as a Licenced Aircraft Engineer and in airworthiness management. Jon’s current role as Continuing Airworthiness Manager is to ensure the continued airworthiness of our fleet of Dash 8’s, Cessna C208 and B200 Aircraft.
With a passion for travel and the skies, Jen brings 15 years cabin crew experience to Skytrans. Jen moved from New Zealand and joined Skytrans in 2008. As a qualified cabin crew checker/trainer and emergency procedure instructor to the pilots and cabin crew, Jen works with her team to ensure the highest levels of services are provided to our passengers and fellow crew.
Christopher is passionate about developing long standing relationships with government, business and community leaders to deliver the best possible air service to regional Queensland.
He brings over 20 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing across a broad range of industries including aviation, tourism and publishing.
Abby brings over 20 years’ experience in Human Resource Management and accredited Mediation to the team. She has worked in a range of industries including Mining & Exploration, Manufacturing, the Not-For-Profit sector and now Aviation. She upholds the Richard Branson mantra “train people well enough so they can leave but treat them well enough that they don’t want to”. Abby has a genuine passion for her profession and for the people she supports.
